Market share is an important metric for brands, often grown through product differentiation and deepened loyalty. How can the ownership experience expand beyond the vehicle itself? Could creating a meaningful, memorable connection between owner and vehicle increase customer sentiment and, in turn, loyalty? The objective became clear: create a product that lives beyond the car, seamlessly integrating into the driver’s everyday life.

Volvo vehicles are sold in two distinct interior palettes: “Bright” and “Dark.” The interior is a key component and primary touchpoint of the vehicle, making it the perfect inspiration for the appearance of the Pen + Pad.

The Pen features a felt-tip with carbon black ink, delivering a smooth, pigmented, and premium writing experience. The Pad pairs seamlessly in form and material with The Pen to complete the set.
